Atal Bihari Vajpaee Govt College Pandatarai, Kabirdham Chhattisgarh is one of the young but rapidly developing colleges of Chhattisgarh. It was established in the year 2011. The people of the area had been asking thegovernment to establish a college in Pandatarai town for quite a long time. Inaddition of being the tribe dominating area, Pandatarai town is situated at acentral location in District Kabirdham.

Our Science Laboratories are fully equipped to meet student’s requirements for coursework. There are separate labs for Biology, Botany, Zoology and Chemistry, where students conduct practical experiments in line with their coursework.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government College Pandatarai Library is the heart of the institute which aims to provide an ideal ambience for both creation & dissemination of knowledge, information, insights & intellect in all its academic programs. The institute has utilized Information Technology extensively to ensure that the resources are accessible anytime from anywhere. Our role is to provide access to the information resources required by students, researchers and faculties of the institute for research, learning and teaching. There is a wealth of material to support learning and research at the College with collection of over 10,345+books, 06 current subscriptions to magazines and 4 newspapers, and an extensive range of high quality electronic resources. Many resources are accessible from off-campus via the Internet. The Library constantly active in building up rich collection of books.
National Service Scheme
NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a central sector scheme of Govt. of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. It provides opportunity to the student youth of 11th and12th class at schools at 12 board level and student youth of technical institution, Graduate and Post graduate at colleges and university level of India to take part in various government led community service programmes. The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community services.
It also provides the student san opportunity to understand the community identify its needs and problems as well as the solutions in which they can be unvalued by assuming social and civic responsibilities. NSS enables students to participate in various programmes of Social service and National development and to help the community.

The College consists of well equipped and advanced Branded Computers. The College has a very beautiful separate Smart room/ Computer room with sufficient sitting facilities.
NOTICE BOARDS
Outside the classroom, students use display boards to promote clubs, recognize athletics and display art projects. The purpose of the display board in that context is to catch the viewer’s attention and explain what was performed and what was learned.
Protected Drinking Water provided
Drinking water is essential to health — and the availability of safe and free drinking water is essential to student success. Young people are not consuming enough water, rather picking sugar-sweetened refreshments (soft drinks, sports drinks, caffeinated drinks, milk, coffees, and fruit-flavored drinks with added sugars), 100% natural product juice, and different drinks. Drinking adequate amount of water can prompt enhanced weight status, lessened dental cavity, and boost cognition among youngsters and youths.
College provides clean and hygienic drinking water with the help of Reverse Osmosis treatment system which has been installed in for the benefit of students and staff.

Providing proper video surveillance over an entire campus community is almost like monitoring a small city. SPORTS FACILITIES
The Purpose of organized physical education, sports and games activities is to create an environment that stimulates selected movement experiences resulting in desirable responses that contribute to the optimal development of the individual’s potentialities in all the phases of life. The importance of sports and games in school or colleges encompasses more than just the benefit of physical activity and also increases in self-esteem and mentalalertness. It teaches to the student’s about life skills like team work, leadership and patience. The qualities of the leadership, sharing, team spirit and tolerance are learnt from sports. Sports education not only teaches the students to maintain the physical stamina, but also the habit of obedience, discipline, the determination to win, willpower, etc.

The college ensures proper upkeep of its infrastructure, facilities and equipment’s by carrying out by periodic maintenance drive by concerned member. The admission policies explained in the college prospectus right from the beginning of admission till the student leave the college and its rules and regulations are updated as prescribed by state government. This prospectus uploaded on college website.
On the infrastructure front students and teachers are encouraged to use available resources optimally. All the labs and classrooms in the college are well maintained. In case of any lab equipment/electric appliances not properly working then concerned department personnel informed to office for repair or replacement as he takes care of it. The sports facilities can be used by students by getting permission from sports in charge during leisure time. The college has taking care of health and hygiene by providing safe drinking water and regularly cleaning of washrooms by hiring the staff. The college has inherent inclination to keep its campus clean and green which in turn gives healthy environment. For uses of library facilities, at the beginning of the academic year, each student is issued library card after collecting their details. Only two books can be issued per months on each library card per students. If he/she fail to return the borrowed books in good condition within one month then one rupees fine each day is levied on the students for each book. The new book is issued only when previously borrowed books are returned. At the end of every semester/academic year every students must return the books to the library. Similarly teachers are allowed to takes books after entering in the teachers register. The lab facilities are open for science students. The students carried out the experiment in the lab and prepare practical file what they do in the lab. This practical file is preserved throughout the year which has weightage in practical exam. For smooth functioning of college various committee are formed under guidance of the head of the institution to look after the various academic, cultural, library, NSS etc activities. The information regarding scholarship, sports, NSS admission, reservation policy etc are displayed on notice board and uploaded on college website time to time. The concern department teacher in charge gives their academic requirement to the head of institution and then procurement made by the same. Thus all the physical infrastructure like academic, sports, library, electricity and water supply etc are regularly maintained whenever need arises.
